So there we were at the foot of Devil's Tower, chatting with a man heading east (while we were heading west). He told us, "So you're headed for Yellowstone? The snow next to my camp site kept my beer cold. It was 34 degrees when I woke up there yesterday".
"Wow", we said, "We've got to prepare!"
In Buffalo, Wyoming we stopped at the “Junk and Used Clothes Store". We picked out an extra blanket and searched for a shirt for me. I needed more than warmth. I needed a style that would go with the dusty cowboys and the big mountains coming up. For three bucks I got this brown plaid number.
Now all I need is a horse.
