I created a series of King Mango paintings recently.
One of them was "The King and Debbie".
Yesterday I learned that "Debbie" (Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Shultz, the Chair of the Democratic National Committee) was coming to Coconut Grove for a fundraiser tonight. We had met briefly at the presidential inauguration last year.
I took the painting to the event a few hours ago and it was presented to her.
She loved it.The King & Debbie has a new home.
