PARADING ON ALL HALLOWS EVE, 2024

 YESTERDAY'S PARADE

Every October 31st we have a of habit of marching around our 'hood costumed in one long procession.

Here are some photos from yesterday's parade.

Mr. Bones, King Mango, and lots of kids led the way

The parade ended at sunset and the trick o' treating began.

Such a magical night, a half-hour later we were sitting in our front yard waiting for  costumed kids. A family of raccoons silently walked past. Shining a light above we saw a brilliant red cardinal sleeping on an oak branch.

Many youngins' then stopped by, more than ever before. Around eight we were visited by two eight-year-old princesses.  When they saw our dwindling candy supply one asked, "Are you running out?"  When Francesca ruefully answered, "Yes", they dug into their bags and said, "Take some of ours".

It was a very happy Halloween.
